Approximately 80 miles total.

Leave the hotel parking lot and go straight at the stop light on Indiana 145 South.

Go 16 miles south passing Patoka Lake until the Eckerty Junction with State Road 64.

Turn right on Route 64; go 4 miles to Birdseye with its very interesting corner store with antiques, tools, and junk. The ice cream store isn’t bad either.

Continue on 64 for 4 miles until you see the Ferdinand State Forest sign.  At County Road 600 East turn left and go 4 miles until junction with Indiana 264.   Turn right and go 4 miles until junction with Indiana 162 .  Turn left and proceed into Ferdinand turning left on 10th Street.  Turn left at the gift shop sign for a very interesting tour of St Benedict.  The gift shop has some nice things and great cookies.  The tours are Tuesday – Friday 10:00 and 11:00 and 1, 2, and 3 PM.

Return to 10th Street and turn right.  When you are back to Indiana 162, turn right for 5 miles.  At the intersection with 64 you can either turn left and go 5 miles to Huntingburg and several antique shops (Turn left on 231, go 2 blocks south, turn left on 4th Street.  The shops are on either side) or you can continue 7 miles straight ahead into Jasper and Indiana164.  For those who went to Huntingburg backtrack to the Junction of 162 and 64, turn left, and proceed 7 miles into Jasper and Indiana 164.

In Jasper turn right on Indiana 164 for Patoka Lake.  Go 11 miles through Celestine and turn left on Indiana 545.  Go 3 miles to a stop sign.  At the stop sign go straight, cross the railroad, and turn right on Cuzco-Norton Road.   Be sure to travel along the railroad track.  At the fork in the road, go left on the Cuzco Road.  Continue on the Cuzco Road until you intersect with Indiana 56.  Go 7 miles back to the Hotel.
